Below you will find out what information we may collect, process and use when you visit and use our website www.wien-ticket.at ("Website"), in case you enter into a business relationship with us and you purchase tickets from us online, at one of our locations or via a cooperation partner or by telephone.

This Privacy and Cookie Policy applies in addition to our Terms of Use. These terms of use generally govern your use of our website.

We may need to update this Privacy and Cookie Policy from time to time as the internet evolves. We therefore recommend that you check this page at regular intervals to ensure that you have read the latest version.

2. What is personal data?

Personal data is information about data subjects whose identity is determined or at least determinable. This includes, for example, your name, your e-mail address and your IP address.

3. What data do we collect from you, for which purpose, on what legal basis and for how long do we process this data?

In general, we only process your personal data on the basis of the statutory provisions. We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. In addition, we may be obliged to store your data for longer due to corresponding statutory retention periods (e.g. for a period of seven years due to tax and accounting obligations). Data will only be stored for an extended period if any legal disputes subsequently arise. This longer storage is then carried out to protect our legitimate interests in the assertion, clarification or defense of legal claims.

We therefore only process the technical data in order to be able to provide you with our website and the associated services and for security reasons. This data processing is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests in providing a user-friendly and secure website.

3.2 Usage data

We also collect and process the following data about your use of and interaction with our website on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a functional website and to carry out pre-contractual measures and fulfill the contract: IP address of your device, the Internet browser used, the browser language, the operating system, the files requested on our website, your settings for Java, screen resolution, color depth, your click behavior on the website (time of access, clicks), interactions from and with our newsletter and the website from which you visit us (referrer URL).

This data is collected via cookies (details below). We use usage data for (i) web analysis, (ii) improving our services and our website, (iii) increasing user-friendliness. This data processing is based on your consent to the use of cookies on our website. You can revoke this consent at any time (e.g. via your browser settings for cookies or the button below) with effect for the future.

Access data and log files are stored by us for a maximum period of six months and then deleted. Data from interactions from and with our newsletter are anonymized after six months and then stored for two years. We generally store data about your usage behavior for a period of three years from the date of the last access.

3.3 Registration

In case you register on our website, we collect the personal information you provide, whereby mandatory data is marked (title, name, e-mail address, address, password and optionally the telephone number, fax number and date of birth). If you provide more data than is mandatory, we will use it to offer you a better service, for example by being able to inform you flexibly and easily about changes to your orders at short notice.

This data processing takes place solely for the purpose of providing your user account on our website. The data processing is based on your consent and is therefore necessary for the fulfillment of our (pre-)contractual obligations.

We store data in connection with your registration and your user account in general until the end of your customer relationship with us or beyond that until the expiry of corresponding statutory retention obligations (usually for a period of seven years due to tax and accounting obligations).

Data of customers who have not placed any orders and are also not registered for the newsletter or Wien Ticket Club mentioned under point 3.5. will be stored for a period of 6 months.

3.4 Order processing

If you wish to purchase tickets online, by telephone, at the Wien Ticket Center, at a Wien Ticket Partner or at one of our advance booking offices, or if you wish to collect the tickets you have purchased online or by telephone, we will process certain personal data about you in order to process and handle the order or purchase and to be able to issue your tickets to you. Specifically, we process the following personal data in the context of orders and ticket purchases: Name, address, telephone number or contact option, date of birth, bank details, invoice, booking confirmation and all other individual data stored during ordering processes or in the user profile. We will make a copy of your ID for evidence purposes. In connection with canceled tickets, we may also need to process your bank or credit card details in order to carry out refunds.

This data processing is carried out solely for the purpose of executing and processing your orders or purchases, for customer support, for contract administration and for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. This data processing is therefore necessary for the fulfillment of our (pre-)contractual obligations.

In general, we store data in connection with your purchases and orders for a period of three years from the end of the respective event or beyond that until the expiry of corresponding statutory retention obligations (usually for a period of seven years due to tax and accounting obligations).

We also process data on your demand and purchasing behavior and your interests on the basis of our legitimate interests in creating statistical evaluations and providing individual advice/support.
